We’ve reached our second Small Business Saturday and we’re so excited
What began as a conversation around our Easter brunch table a few years ago turned into something we could have never imagined. While eating our holiday ham, we could see the empty pasture from our farmhouse kitchen window and hoped to one day have cattle roaming in it again, like when we were kids.
We set out to farm differently using the wisdom and simplicity of the farming practices we grew up with; transitioning away from conventional row crops to be good stewards of our soil/land, while providing healthy food for our community. With our rich land resources and our experience raising happy cattle, we’re doing our part to help change our food system to benefit everyone.
In the past two years, we’ve transitioned 90 acres of row crops to forage, alfalfa and cover crops to feed our herd and naturally restore our soil. In 2020, we plan to transition more row crop fields to pasture.
And you supported us. This year, we provided more than 80 families with locally grown 100% grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic-free meat that they can feel great serving to their loved ones.
